La Senda, Costa Rica — A Spiritual Experience

A Sacred Place in the Jungle of Nicoya

There are places on Earth where energy flows freely, untouched by time or human intervention. During my travels, I have encountered several of these sacred locations, but one of the most powerful lies in Nicoya, Costa Rica.
La Senda is a thirty-hectare sanctuary immersed in lush jungle, crossed by rivers and ancient trees, where nature becomes a space for introspection, healing, and spiritual reconnection. This land hosts a unique cactus labyrinth created by a Shaman, a place where visitors walk in silence, meditate, and reconnect with their inner self. The experience at La Senda is not simply a visit — it is a journey inward.

Nature, Energy, and Connection

What deeply captivates me about La Senda are the towering trees, whose roots penetrate deep into the earth as if anchoring ancient wisdom. These living organisms radiate a powerful presence, welcoming those who seek grounding and spiritual alignment. As a photographer, my intention is not only to document the landscape, but to capture the invisible energy that permeates this place — the silence of the jungle, the rhythm of nature, and the sense of timelessness that surrounds every path.

Photography as a Spiritual Practice

Photography, in this context, becomes a meditative act. Each image is an attempt to translate emotion, vibration, and presence into visual form. Light filtering through dense foliage, textures of bark and stone, and the harmony between shadow and life are all elements that guide my creative process here. La Senda offers an extraordinary environment for spiritual photography in Costa Rica, where the camera becomes a tool for contemplation rather than observation alone.

Returning to La Senda — Year After Year

I return to La Senda almost every year to recharge my spirit and reconnect with the source of my inspiration. This place continues to influence my artistic vision and my personal journey. I am currently working on a long-term photographic project inspired by La Senda, which will eventually be compiled into a book. The images shared here are part of that ongoing exploration — fragments of a spiritual dialogue between nature, energy, and the human soul.

A Place to Reconnect

La Senda is more than a destination in Costa Rica — it is a space for reflection, transformation, and reconnection. Through my photography, I hope to convey not only its visual beauty, but also the profound spiritual experience that unfolds within this sacred landscape
